5. Tech X - A fairly good item. It changes your tears into large laser rings which, if charged less, get fired out as smaller ones. This is pretty good on its own, but paired with items like Spoon Bender or Lazy Worm, it becomes godlike.

4. Cricket’s Head - An item that grants a good DMG up, plus a large DMG multiplier. This means that the later you pick this up, the better it becomes. Do I have to explain its appearance here?

3. Polyphemus - This item makes Isaac’s tears gigantic, while lowering his fire rate. This isn’t a big deal, though, and the MASSIVE tears you gain are very helpful.

2. Ipecac - A simply amazing item. It changes Isaac’s tears to poisonous arc shots that explode upon contact. It can kill Mom in a few hits. It’s amazing.

1. Sacred Heart - This is as close as it comes to an autowin item. It grants full HP, another heart container, homing shots, and a massive DMG up. It also makes you have a lower fire rate, but that doesn’t really matter.

HONORABLE MENTION - Brimstone - This item used to be one of my favorites, but honestly, after using it more, I don’t think it’s amazing. It’s great, definitely, but I think it’s not the best item.
